PT. Pelayaran MitraBahari Sentosa (MBS) is a well established shipping company since 1994. We provide tug and barge service, mainly for logs and coals transportation with a base operation in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and arranging all technical maintenance and repairs need on a ship
- Ensure the full compliance with all class, flag state or any other standards and requirement that applied
- Ensure the vessel is complying with all the safety rules
- Expected to be keeping down cost and optimize the efficiency of the boat
- Responsible for ordering any spare parts and making sure that they arrive on time
- Plan all maintenance activities and liaise with all operational staff and subcontractors in regards to planning and implementation of all required task
- Supervised work that needs to be carried out
- All proper documentation will need to be maintained and reports filed as required and draw up management reports
Requirements:
- Male
- Age 25 - 30 years old
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineer or Naval Architect is required, and a complete knowledge of all industry standards and regulations
- At least 3 to 5 years experience working at technical ship management ideally as a technical superintendant or a chief engineer
- Must have experience as a ship’s engineer, knowledge about ships system and marine engineering needs to be up to date and it will be useful if they have some knowledge about new building assistance
- Have experience of hoe to organize maintenance and repair of a ship
- Willing to be assigned out of the city
